Artist's Statement

The conductor's baton is like a magic wand ‐ through swirling and artful gestures, it visibly directs and creates the magic of a musical performance, balancing a multitude of instrumentation, colours, shapes and sounds. "the baton itself must be a living thing, charged with a kind of electricity, which makes it an instrument of meaning in its tiniest movement."
