Artist's Statement

Life is full of stuff constantly coming at you - all manner of things clatter round in your head. Every now and then we need to just take time out from the chaos - and rest. The black shape in the middle of this piece is actually the musical symbol for a 'crotchet rest', which represents a quarter beat of silence.
